Maybe it’s the fact that we’re saying goodbye to winter. Or possibly it’s the first glimmer or spring, complete with longer days and warmer weather. Regardless of the reason, there’s something about this time of year that seems to bring out the most ridiculous, crazy-seeking behavior in all those of us who live in ski towns. A prime example of this is the classic pond skimming competition that takes place at resorts nation-wide come Closing Day time. SkiNet.com has recognized Snow King Resort’s cowboy pond skimming contest in this year’s “Pond Skimming: Where to do it. How to do it.” article. This year’s second annual pond skimming competition will take place at Snow King Resort on Sunday, March 21st, Snow King’s closing day. Grab your friends and head to the town hill for some of that cowboy, PBR-infused adventure one can only find at Snow King in the spring!
